Line Games’ 1–4 player online co-op horror comedy game, QUIET, has soared to the #1 spot in Steam Scream V Fest’s Top Demos category in under 24 hours of the festival kicking off on October 26. The milestone follows the launch of the game’s first-ever demo, which is available to play now for free on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The achievement marks another milestone for QUIET, following its first public playtest, which attracted more than 350,000 sign-ups and welcomed 271,132 players from 148 countries. Building on that momentum, the newly released demo gives players even more ways to wreak havoc with their flock, including the new four-player “Duck Out” Arcade Stage, a redesigned spaceship-themed waiting room, and special Halloween content.

For those who haven’t joined the flock yet, QUIET puts players in the webbed feet of alien ducks stranded on Earth, tasked with scavenging a house for spaceship parts while avoiding whatever lurks nearby. Every quack, clatter, and panicked scream could spell disaster, so keep your bills shut and stay QUIET, you never know what’s listening.

Key Features for QUIET:

  • Search for Ship Parts: Explore the area, recover the components needed to repair your ship, and escape before you’re discovered.
  • Every Sound Matters: Movement, dropped objects, and even your real-world voice can alert whatever lurks nearby. A microphone is required.
  • Work Together or Go Down Together: Coordinate with up to three other players, but remember that one noisy mistake can put the entire flock in danger.
  • A Horror Co-op Unlike Any Other: Balance stealth, teamwork, and chaotic duck antics as you struggle to survive against an ever-listening threat.
  • Cooperation is over! Arcade Mode: Forget teamwork! That duck waddling next to you? Your new worst enemy. Get into some lighthearted mayhem with your friends as you knock them down and steal their shot at victory!

Steam Scream V Fest runs through November 2, but there’s no need to wait to join the flock. Players can download the QUIET demo now on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and wishlist the game on Steam to stay up-to-date on future news.
