Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive, and developer BEF Games today announced the full 1.0 release of their open-world crime management game, The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire, on Windows PC via Steam. The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire is currently available to purchase on PC via Steam for $18.99 with a 20% launch discount available through Nov. 10.

“Developing our very first game has been an incredible journey and we couldn’t have done it without our dedicated community. Reading and integrating their feedback and ideas into our creative vision was an exciting and fun experience, and that collaborative approach will make the foundation of our future roadmap,” said Emre Yasak, Lead Producer at BEF Games. “We’re beyond thrilled to launch Version 1.0 today, and we could not have done without our community. This isn’t the finish line but the start of something even bigger!.”

“I couldn’t be more excited for the whole BEF Games team. The 1.0 launch for The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire is the capstone of years of effort and realizes the team’s dream to create this amazing crime-sandbox experience,” said Bryan West, Publishing Director at Tripwire Presents. “BEF’s community-first approach has led them to create an incredible game and I’m so happy Tripwire Presents is in a position to help show their work off to the world.”

Shaped by extensive player feedback and community collaboration, the Version 1.0 launch of The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire rolls out high-speed chases and luxury properties, along with more cinematics, dynamic weather, expanded territorial control systems and 20 rare items to collect offering unique character advantages.

New Features in The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire Version 1.0:

  • Hot Pursuits & Police Heat: Hunt down rival syndicate targets in high-speed vehicle chases while evading increasingly aggressive police response forces across Night City. The streets are now more dangerous with enemy factions and law enforcement actively engaging the player’s crew.
  • Luxury Safehouses: Acquire high-end real estate, including a mansion equipped with character training facilities and a vehicle showroom, or a Casino Penthouse with the best view in town. These new properties support multiple characters allowing players to bring the entire crew together under one roof.
  • Seasons & Dynamic Weather: New shifting weather conditions and rotating seasonal cycles have been implemented, adding another layer of immersion and altering the look and feel of city streets during active operations. Weather and seasons can be disabled at any time through the settings.
  • Cinematic Payoffs: Trigger new cinematics whenever a rival crime family is completely wiped out. Conquering all competing organizations rewards players with a final cinematic marking their total city dominance.
  • Rare Gear and Loot: Discover 20 new items inside safes and from defeated rival bosses. These rare items provide unique stat bonuses and advantages to player characters.
  • Controller Integration & System Polish: Full gamepad support is now integrated across all driving, combat and in-game menus. Shaped by player feedback throughout Early Access, 1.0 brings a broad suite of stability fixes and performance refinements across Night City.
