The update for Seafarer: The Ship Sim, released today, changes the game’s fundamental systems. In addition, new story missions bring the story to a close.
Major Changes Toward a Sandbox Experience
With the Career Update, the game takes one of its biggest steps since the start of development. The world is set to become even more interactive, giving players greater freedom to shape their own lives on the high seas. Progression becomes more natural, and the game world reacts more strongly to players’ decisions. Players can now manage their own business, take advantage of trading opportunities, and use their ships independently of classic missions.
The new reputation system fully replaces the previous level-and-EXP model. From now on, players earn reputation at every port, allowing them to unlock new ships, ports, and opportunities.
Even More Content for Greater Immersion
In addition, the three new story missions in Seafarer: The Ship Sim round out the story surrounding Teddy. Players will experience dramatic moments and missions on the high seas.
Further New Content Included in the Update:
- Drones on more ship, allowing players to explore their surroundings
- Deck Cleaning on the bulk carrier
- Reworked Inspection gameplay
