Fire up your grills and hit the streets to make your fortune in Food Truck Empire, the economic strategy/management title from developer Lichthund (Lichtspeer, ROCKBEASTS) and publisher Fireshine Games (Denshattack!, Far Far West) heading to PC via Steam this year. Players can download an extended demo now on Steam to begin customizing their fleet and crafting recipes for their hungry customers, with sign-ups open for the next playtest packed with even more tasty secret ingredients coming in September. Food Truck Empire will also be playable on the Gamescom showfloor in the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2, Booth F010g – E019.

Become the owner of a budding food truck enterprise and grow it from a single truck serving up basic hamburgers, to managing an entire fleet of trucks across multiple cities. The only way to get there is to satisfy your hungry customers with delicious and unique foods of your own creation to earn those coveted 5-star reviews.

You won’t just design your truck with colors, stickers and even your own drawings, but the entire cooking process inside. Fully automate the workflow within your trucks to be fast, efficient and, most importantly, delicious. As you unlock additional ingredients and appliances, new recipes and methods of food preparation will become available to satisfy an even wider customer base.

As you expand your fleet, you will push into new territory with different culinary preferences to learn and cater to. Will you target the downtown lunch rush to capitalize on the wealthy crowd, but face stiff competition, or go for the hungry industrial workers and late night party goers? And watch out for city-wide events that can offer a huge payout if you are able to adapt. If you don’t, you can bet your competition will.

Take a look at the trailer and then tell us what you think on Bluesky and Twitter. Will you play Food Truck Empire?
