Nintendo has announced that they are ending the program for the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers. Beginning January 30, 2026, at 11:59pm Pacific, Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers will no longer be available to purchase.

For those who might not be aware, for a little while now Nintendo has had this program in the eShop where you could buy digital vouchers for select game. They sold two vouchers for approximately one hundred dollars, which means you could get two games for that price. When certain big name franchises cost $60 each, buying the vouchers was a way to save money. These vouchers are only good for Nintendo Switch games and not games that are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Key Information

• Paid Nintendo Switch Online members can buy a pair of Game Vouchers and redeem each one for a digital game in the voucher catalog.
• Vouchers cannot be redeemed for games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
• Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers expire 12 months after purchase.
