Earlier today during the Nintendo Indie World online showcase, Woodo expanded its platform lineup with a confirmed release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch 1 in Summer 2026, joining the previously announced versions for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The showcase debut was accompanied by a new video message from the development team, offering a brief introduction and a look at new gameplay.

The newly shown video features members of the Woodo team introducing fresh gameplay moments to the viewers. Alongside wholesome, cozy interactions, the new footage highlights how Woodo’s tactile, hands-on puzzle design continues to evolve as development progresses.

In addition to confirming its handheld debut, the showcase also revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Woodo will support mouse controls, offering players an additional, intuitive way to interact with the game’s delicate objects and mechanisms.

With its distinctive wooden world, calm pacing, and focus on small, meaningful interactions, Woodo continues to shape an experience that feels personal, gentle, and playful. The announcement of the release date marks an important milestone as the game prepares to fully latch onto consoles in Summer 2026.
