Duet Night Abyss development team confirmed the massive update, “Silver Torrent, Rising Star”, will launch globally today on June 2. Announced as part of its special preview program, the update brings two playable heroes, gameplay elements, and a dark new story chapter to Hero Games’ multi-dimensional combat fantasy RPG.

The update introduces two highly anticipated heroes: Flora, an elegant, mysterious noblewoman aligned with the dark Umbro element, and her personal maid Hilda, who wields powerful Pyro abilities. The protagonist Phoxhunter also undergoes a dramatic narrative transformation, awakening a new Umbro form that alters both their appearance and abilities. These characters arrive with an arsenal of six new weapons, ranging from the melee-focused polearm “Perpetual Strife” to the “Firearm Feast” grenade launcher.

“Silver Torrent, Rising Star” also continues the story of Duet Night Abyss, returning the action to the cold, oppressive, and dark fantasy roots in the city of Icelake, with the brand-new regions of “Flodia Bloomfield Station” to explore. Designed with a distinct Victorian steampunk vibe, this train-bound world features a rigid class hierarchy that stretches from common passenger carriages to luxurious first-class cabins.There will also be a treasure trove of rewards for players during the event. By logging in during the update, players will receive a selectable character and weapon gift boxes. The “Beyond the Cage” and “Days of Tranquillity” login events and the event-exclusive “Pulse of the Empire” will also deliver incredible rewards to regular players. The “Luno’s Rail Rumpus” co-op event will also see players teaming up with friends to fight together, or taking part in the “Starry Gleanings” event to unlock limited-time “Black Gospel” character skins for Berenica and Margie. Finally, the “Return to Atlasia” will give Duet Night Abyss players who have been away for over 28 days the opportunity to return to multiple rewards to bring them back into the fight.

The update also delivers several comprehensive overhauls to gameplay and core systems:

• Guild System: Allowing players to gather companions, easy team formation, and cooperative multiplayer.
• Asynchronous Co-op: “The Immersive Theatre: Ensemble Act” lets friends and Guild members tackle dungeons without needing to be online at the same time.
• Forge Calamity Weapons: Starting during the “Abyss Expedition” event, players can use specific blueprints to forge Calamity Weapons to unlock their unique abilities.
• Artistic Upgrades: Visual improvements to Purgatoria and Icelake, giving them more realistic details and lighting.
