Knights Peak and Windup Games have revealed a new Deep Dive, giving a detailed look at the beauty of the game’s Nature and the Animals players can meet in a handcrafted world inspired by Northern Sweden. Hela: of Mice & Magic is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2026. 

To accompany the latest deep dive, an ambient video has been released. This video allows individuals to unwind after a demanding day or simply enjoy the tranquil soundscapes of Scandinavian woodlands in the background.

Learning from the Friends of the Forest

In Hela: of Mice & Magic, animals are more than just inhabitants of the forest, but they are teachers and allies. Take the squirrel, for example: agile, swift, and a master of leaping through the treetops. By keeping pace with its challenge, players earn a special gift, which can be used in the witch’s hut to brew a potion, unlocking new abilities.

Forging Lifelong Friendships

Some creatures in Hela: of Mice & Magic can become lifelong companions. The hare, for instance, is initially shy but can be befriended through patience and trust. Once earned, its loyalty allows players to call upon it for swift travel through the forest, making journeys faster and more enjoyable than ever before.

A World Teeming with Life

Every corner of Hela: of Mice & Magic is alive with the beauty of nature. From tiny insects wandering across the forest floor to dragonflies gliding gracefully above the water and flocks of birds soaring through the sky, the world is rich with detail and wonder. Players are encouraged to pause, observe, and immerse themselves in the vibrant life surrounding them.

In Hela: of Mice & Magic, players take on the role of a small but agile mouse, helping a kind, wary witch care for the land she has protected for generations. Explore alone or together in various environments such as forests, meadows, wetlands, and burrows. The witch provides the player with a backpack infused with magic, enabling them to explore further, reach higher, and interact with the world in new and sometimes relaxing ways.

Hela: of Mice & Magic, the recipient of two Gamescom 2025 awards for “Most Entertaining” and “Most Wholesome”, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2026.
