May 12th marks the three year anniversary for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To help celebrate the occasion, Nintendo has released some news via their “Nintendo Today” app on smartphones.

A new Amiibo is on the way and will be available beginning September 17, 2026. This new Amiibo is a Mineru’s Construct figure. This new figure has articulated arms, which means that you can pose it however you want. Nintendo has said that there is a decent amount of freedom to the Amiibo’s movement, so be sure to pose it in a way that “feels good to you.”

Much like with other Amiibo figures, this new one will also bring with it some game functionality. You can tap this Amiibo on your Switch (and Switch 2) while playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to receive items that will help Link on his adventure. Nintendo has revealed that there is also the possibility that you will receive a special fabric for Link’s paraglider that can partially glow in the dark.

This Amiibo is not just useful in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, though. You can also use it in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.

For those who might not be familiar with Mineru, Mineru is one of the sages in Tears of the Kingdom. She is King Rauru’s elder sister and helped her brother fight the Demon King in her role as the Sage of Spirit long ago. She now helps Link in the present day through this Zonai construct.

What do you think about this new Amiibo? Do you plan on picking it up when it arrives later this year? Tell us what you think on Bluesky and Twitter.
