It has been rumored for a long time now but CD Projekt Red has finally confirmed it: there is new Witcher 3 content coming before Witcher 4 arrives. Coming in 2027, there is a new expansion titled “Songs of the Past.” Players can once again become Geralt of Rivia and embark on a brand new adventure before heading out on the Path as Ciri in The Witcher 4.

This expansion is being developed in partner with Fool’s Theory, a team comprising industry veterans who worked on The Witcher 3. For those who aren’t aware, Witcher 3 takes place in a dark fantasy open world where Geralt of Rivia has to take on the most important contract of his life: saving his daughter Ciri.

Songs of the Past will arrive in 2027 on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. It is the third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That is all the news we have about this new expansion for now but CD Projekt Red has promised more news this summer.
