Atari and independent game studio Fabraz today announced that Bubsy 4D will launch on May 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows, and GOG, and Xbox Play Anywhere for $19.99. Pre-orders begin today on Atari’s website for a physical collector’s edition of Bubsy 4D for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The physical edition, which includes a game cartridge, tuck-in exterior box, user manual, poster, and artbook, is available for $39.99/€39.99/£34.99 on Nintendo Switch and $49.99/€49.99/£44.99 on Nintendo Switch 2, with a street date of May 22.
Bubsy 4D marks the return of everyone’s fur-vorite bobcat mascot in his first 3D adventure since 1996, bringing you a colorful and expressive platformer that blends nostalgic charm with modern movement mechanics and a furmidable sense of humor.

“Get ready for the comeback you never saw coming,” said Bubsy T. Bobcat. “It’s no secret that I’ve got a questionable track record, but Atari and Fabraz are determined to give me the game I’ve always deserved. This time, my claws are out, and I’m ready to show off.”
In Bubsy 4D, he is on a mission to take back the Golden Fleece from those nasty BaaBots who snatched it right out of his paws. He will run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets with platforming purrfection, tackling vibrant fabric- and craft-themed levels, with each planet ending in a BaaBot boss battle. Dress Bubsy up in stylish new outfits, collect hidden blueprints to unlock new moves, and race against other players’ ghost data in online time trials. Along the way, Bubsy will reunite with familiar friends like Terri, Terry, Virgil, and Oblivia, all to a funky soundtrack by Fat Bard.
