Earlier today, Square Enix surprised us all with a shadow drop of Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, digitally on Xbox Series X, PC via Steam, and support for Xbox Play Anywhere. Compatible with both the ROG Xbox Ally and Steam Deck, players can now experience this adventure in an HD remaster, with quality-of-life updates and minigames.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, initially released last year for the Nintendo Switch 2, now brings its beloved story, character designs by Akihiko Yoshida (Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice ChroniclesNieR:Automata) and signature “Brave & Default” turn-based battle system to PC and Xbox. The remaster offers longtime fans a chance to revisit Luxendarc while welcoming new players to the adventure.

To celebrate the launch, the game is available digitally at a 20% discount on Steam and Xbox platforms. Players who purchase the game will also receive a digital art book accessible through D-Viewer as a permanent bonus.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster is set in Luxendarc, a world where four elemental crystals maintain peace until darkness erupts from the Great Chasm. Join the warriors of light, including Agnès Oblige, Tiz Arrior, Edea Lee, Ringabel and the cryst-fairy Airy, on a quest to restore the crystals and save the world. Work strategically to control the flow of battle with the innovative “Brave & Default” battle system: Brave to expend Brave Points to increase the number of actions taken in turn, and Default to stock up a turn while shoring up defenses. With over 20 unique jobs, players can mix and match abilities to create diverse party compositions. Turn-based battles, which can be sped up by the player as desired, are enhanced further by a larger-than-life soundtrack from Revo, making the HD remaster a must-play for RPG fans.
