Game Outlet Europe, an independent distributor of video games and gaming accessories, has announced that the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller, Classic Grey edition, is now available across Europe, beginning today, March 20, 2026.

When two gaming eras collide, the result is the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller. A modern controller with the technological standards required by today’s gamers, coupled with a mid-90s nostalgic design. Whether it’s to play classic titles on current systems, or enjoy modern titles with a nod to that iconic style, the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller delivers comfort, functionality, and precision.

A love of retro gaming does not include the technical limitations of the time, so while the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller brings the 64-bit era to the gamers of today, it also gives them an upgrade. Gamers can enjoy versatility, as the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller supports both wireless Bluetooth and wired USB-C connections, making it compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile, and more. The Hall Effect joysticks with electromagnetic sensors eliminate the risk of stick drift, and together with a metal joystick ring, the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller is engineered to endure and withstand high-intensity use while maintaining smooth and fluid motion.

Key Technical Highlights:

• Hall Effect Joysticks – Say goodbye to “stick drift.” Using electromagnetic sensors, the joysticks offer higher precision and a significantly longer lifespan than traditional mechanical components.
• Built for Switch Online – Fully compatible with Nintendo Switch, featuring a button layout optimised for the N64 Nintendo Switch Online library.
• Multi-Platform Connectivity – Seamless wireless play via Bluetooth or wired connection via USB-C. Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC.
• Modern Functionality – Dedicated home and screenshot buttons, integrated rumble support, and a customisable turbo function.
• Classic Feel – A refined form factor that retains the iconic style while optimising weight distribution and grip for extended gaming sessions.

Inspired by the classic N64 color palette, the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller Classic Grey evokes nostalgia with that distinctive red start button and blue/green A/B buttons. Gamers will delight in the throwback to the dawn of 3D gaming, but will also relish the controller’s modern functionality and comfort for longer play sessions, as seen in the black-and-white 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controllers.

“When an iconic style is so popular amongst our community, we knew we had to deliver it in the form of the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller. Being able to marry nostalgia and technological advancement for a seamless yet aesthetically authentic experience in 2026 has been a delight. We’ve been looking forward to seeing this iconic harmony of hardware in players’ hands across Europe, and now that time has come,” said David Karlsson at Game Outlet Europe.

The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller Classic Grey edition officially launches across Europe today, March 20, 2026, with an MSRP of €39.99 / £34.99.
