During Summer Game Fest yesterday, the game 1666: Amsterdam was introduced. This game is from Patrice Desilets, one of the creators of Assassin’s Creed. In fact, during the reveal, there were some gamers that thought we might have been looking at Assassin’s Creed Hexe, but it turned out to be 1666: Amsterdam.

Along with the reveal, the development team at Panache Digital Games revealed that a Prologue was available to download right now on Steam. Please keep in mind that the game is fairly early in development, so it isn’t completely optimized. With that said, we went through the prologue for everyone and recorded our playthough. There is no commentary so you can just enjoy the experience of 1666: Amsterdam.

To check out our playthrough of the approximate 30 minute prologue, click on the image below. Once you watch it tell us what you think on Bluesky and Twitter.

A dramatic scene set in 1666 Amsterdam featuring a central figure in a red cloak, surrounded by chaos and conflict, with a crowd of historical characters on one side and armed figures on the other.
