Developer Pomshine Games and publisher Dangen Entertainment have announced that Umami Grove is now available on PlayStation VR2, inviting players to cook, climb, and explore a whimsical VR world built entirely around hands-on interaction.

In Umami Grove, almost everything can be touched, climbed, tossed, or accidentally broken. Players explore lush seasonal environments, gather ingredients, and help a cute cast of characters by cooking meals and solving problems using nothing but their hands and a little curiosity.

Powered by a robust physics system, Umami Grove encourages playful experimentation at every turn. Climb trees for apples, slice mushrooms by hand, or see if throwing a fish solves your problem (it probably won’t, but it might!). Every task is part cooking, part exploration, and part delightful surprise.

About Umami Grove

Jump, climb, duck, and swing through vibrant locales on a quest to help cute characters gather luscious ingredients and create mouthwatering dishes, hands-on.

Set in a lush, open world, Umami Grove invites players into a comfy cooking adventure that utilizes a powerful locomotion and interaction system. Complete tasks for a quirky cast of NPCs while you forage for ingredients in a visually rich, atmospheric environment themed after seasons.

You’ll face peril and hone your cooking for the greatest prize of all: gold in the shape of acorns.

Key Features

  • Travel a gorgeous world, meet adorable creatures, and cook them! (Or for them, usually.)
  • Overcome challenges using your hands and the environment around you. Throwing a fish at something probably won’t solve a problem, but you won’t know until you try.
  • That tree can be climbed and its apples picked. The mushroom on the table can be dynamically cut. Use a robust physics engine and your own hands to get the full cooking experience.
  • Meet a wide cast of characters that you can help in various ways. Cook a meal for them, help them go back to bed, or just please stop accidentally breaking their stuff.
  • Ponder what exactly the deal is with these acorns.

Check out the trailer below and then tell us what you think. Will you play Umami Grove on PlayStation VR2?
